I have been going through old data CDs -- mostly photos -- to transfer them to the cloud. I made these before the "cloud" existed. These photos backed up to a CD had a label on the disc.
Remember those paper labels shaped like a CD that you can put through your printer and label them, and then you stamp them onto the CD?
Well, this CD is from 2002 and apparently the paper has shrunk ever so slightly and it warped the CD. I cannot get it to play on a CD reader to copy the files.
This is why I am still a proponent of printing my photos - especially any decent ones - even if it means I throw them in a box later...
